I’m reading Paul Kingsnorth’s new book, Against the Machine: On the Unmaking of Humanity, which looks at our techno-capitalist culture and how it is de-forming us. It is a fascinating read on its own, but I am also currently teaching a class on spiritual formation, and I am seeing some interesting connections between the two.
