I have spent nearly twenty years preaching the Gospel, teaching the Bible, and praying the Prayer Book. Whether it has been in a college classroom, in adult Sunday School classes, in Bible studies, or over many cups of coffee, my joy has been to teach people about Jesus.

The Catechist’s Quill is a place for writing and thinking. As I move into a season of focused writing, my hope is that this space will be the place to get those projects and ideas off the ground. Subscribers will get to see this theologian’s brain in action as she thinks deeply about what it means to be a Christian.

On this Substack, you will find essays, reflections, and devotionals. There will also be book reviews and recommendations. And, every once and awhile, there will be slightly nerdy, sci-fi and geek culture related posts.
